Standard-class Hotels (3 Star) in St Petersburg are perhaps the best option for an average tourist. They may lack splendor, but offer clean comfortable rooms (often with small balconies) and bathrooms with a reasonable quality of service. Mini –Hotels (Bed & Breakfasts), relative new-comers on the Russian accommodation scene in St Petersburg, nowadays play a significant role in providing good, value for money, accommodation for tourists.  There are now a lot of them.
