INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

On International Women's Day St Petersburg shuts down and all the women walk around with flowers on 8th March.  Men will be thought of as most ungentlemanly, if they do not give chocolates and a bouquet to at least one lady.  It is tradition to say s prazdnikom (congratulations on the holiday) to everyone.  There are special performances and concerts and it is a very popular day for Russians.
