St Petersburg was planned as the 'Venice of the North' and built to be enjoyed from the water – that is why without a boat trip you won’t get the complete impression of the city.  Following along St Petersburg's canals and rivers you will have an opportunity to observe the city from a different angle. Magnificent architectural monuments along Griboedov Canal will impress you just as the poetic past of Moika River.  Zimnyaa Canavka (Winter Riffle), which connects Moika River with Neva (the main river of St Petersburg), got its name after the Winter Palace - and you will hear some of the numerous legends about it.

The gorgeous Neva River will affect you with its strong current and grace of the granite embankments; the views of palaces and bridges will hypnotise you with their beauty.  Following Kronverkskiy Strait you will reach the Aurora cruiser, one of the symbols of the Russian Revolution. Fontanka River, one the most picturesque rivers of St Petersburg, flows near the Summer Garden, famous for its iron fence and Anichkov Palace with magnificent Anichkov Bridge.
